

Chief Operating Executive is Patrick Horsley, with many year’s experience of hosting overseas visits on behalf of the UK Foreign Office, and whose company Cambridge Visits has acted for a number of other UK government agencies (EEDA, EEI, UKTI, the British Council) as well as organising over 500 visits for groups from China in the last ten years.He is currently concentrating on trying to strengthen business links and cultural understanding between China and Cambridge.
Patrick is an associate agent for Cambridge Science Park; he has also delivered keynote speeches at international conferences (Finland, Poland, South Korea, China) on the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, and has given seminars, lectures and short training courses to a wide variety of international audiences from Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Having worked closely with the Cambridge Science Park, Patrick has made a particular study of the role of it and similar initiatives around Cambridge in contributing to regional growth, and of the many different elements that feed into the development of a technology cluster. He has collaborated with the Civil Service College, and with the University’s Judge Business School executive education programmes. .
Associates of the Consortium are drawn from experts in the region, academics and researchers from the two universities in Cambridge, and other key individuals with relevant experience.
